Who we are
Freedom Direct LLC ("Freedom Direct") is a licensed insurance agency based in Columbus, Ohio. This policy covers gofreedomdirect.com, join.gofreedomdirect.com, and how we handle information we receive by phone, text, and email. It does not replace any privacy notice you receive from us or an insurance carrier when you apply for or buy a policy. Our site is meant for people in the United States.
What we collect
We collect what you type into our forms:
- Quote requests: your name, phone, email, state, whether you smoke, and anything you add in the notes box.
- Agent applications: your name, phone, email, the role you want, your license status, and your sales experience.
- Booking a call: the details you enter in our booking calendar.
We also receive what you send us by phone, text, or email. We buy contact information from lead companies, too. This can include your name, phone, email, state, and the coverage you asked about. Our website forms do not ask for your Social Security number, bank details, or medical history. If you apply for a policy, the carrier may ask for more information, and its own privacy notice applies.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you and from lead companies. Those companies tell us you asked about insurance and agreed to be contacted. When you visit, the services that run our site can also receive basic technical details, such as your IP address and browser type. We use GoatCounter, a website analytics service, to count visits and see which pages people view. We do not use advertising tracking.
How we use it
- To answer your request and give you coverage options.
- To contact you by phone, text, or email, as you agreed.
- To review agent applications and schedule calls.
- To keep our records, protect our business, and follow the law.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with outside companies for their own marketing. We only share it:
- With our in-office licensed agents, so they can help you.
- With insurance carriers, when needed to get you a quote or help you apply. Each carrier makes its own coverage and pricing decisions.
- With service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, form processing, website analytics, email, text messaging, and our booking calendar. They may use it only for those services.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- If our business is sold or merged, with the new owner, who must follow this policy or give you notice of any changes.
Text messages
If you agree to receive texts, including through a lead company, we may text you about your request or application. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. You do not have to agree to texts to buy from us.
We do not share mobile information or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging providers receive your number and messages only so they can deliver them.
Phone calls and email
You can ask us to stop calling or emailing you at any time. Tell the agent on the call, or contact us using the details below. We will add your number to our internal do-not-call list.
Cookies and tracking
Our site does not use cookies to track you. Our analytics, booking calendar, and fonts come from outside services, and those services may use cookies or receive technical details under their own policies.
How we respond to Do Not Track signals
Your browser may send a "Do Not Track" signal. Our site does not change how it works when it receives one, because we do not track visitors across other websites. We do not allow advertising trackers on our site.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to help you, run our business, and meet our legal and record-keeping duties. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove details that identify you.
How we protect it
We use reasonable steps to protect your information and limit it to the people who need it. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send your Social Security number, card numbers, or bank details through our forms, email, or text. Insurance privacy laws
Federal and state insurance privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, may apply to information we use to provide insurance products. If you become a client, you may receive a separate privacy notice from us or your carrier.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, state law may give you more rights over your personal information. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. Some insurance information is exempt from these laws. To use your rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm who you are. If we deny your request, you can ask us to review that decision. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think we have a child's information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site links to other sites, such as Facebook and Instagram. This policy does not cover those sites.

We will post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or text when we have your contact details.
